This privacy policy explains how FlingShot ("the app", "the game", "we", "us") handles information. The game is developed and published by Balliram. By using FlingShot you agree to this policy.
1. Summary
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or any account.
- Your game progress (levels, stars, coins, settings, daily reward) is stored only on your device.
- FlingShot is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and usage data as described below.
- The game downloads its ad settings (which ad units to use, whether ads are on) from Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). This is a read-only request: the game sends no personal information, account or game progress to Firebase.
- FlingShot has no in-app purchases. The game never asks for payment details.
2. Information stored on your device
The game saves the following locally with the platform's standard app storage (it never leaves your device, and we cannot access it):
- Level progress, stars and Hard Mode progress
- Coin balance (earned in play, not bought), owned power-ups and cannon skins
- Settings (sound, vibration)
- Daily reward timing
Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes this information permanently.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
FlingShot uses Google AdMob to show banner, interstitial and rewarded ads. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- Device advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, when permitted)
- IP address, used to estimate approximate location (country or city level)
- Device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version)
- Ad interaction data (ads shown, taps, rewarded ad completions)
- Crash and performance diagnostics related to the ads SDK
Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions where the law requires it, the game shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy options.
iOS tracking. On iOS the game asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before the IDFA can be used. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized. Your choice doesn't affect gameplay.
Opting out of personalized ads. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
More information: How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. App settings (Google Firebase)
When the game starts, it reads a small settings document from Google Firebase Cloud Firestore. The document contains only the game's own ad configuration (for example the ad unit IDs and whether ads are switched on). The game keeps a copy on your device so it works offline.
- The game does not send your name, contacts, game progress, advertising ID or any account information to Firebase.
- The game does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Authentication or any other Firebase service that tracks users.
- Like any internet request, Google receives your device's IP address and basic technical details of the request (such as the SDK and operating system version) in order to deliver the settings and protect the service from abuse. Google processes this as our service provider under the Firebase data processing terms.
More information: Privacy and Security in Firebase.
5. Ratings
If you choose "Rate FlingShot", the game opens the platform's own review dialog or store page. Reviews are handled by Google or Apple, and we don't receive any personal information from this.
6. Permissions
The Android app requests only the Internet permission (and the advertising ID permission the AdMob SDK adds), which ads and the ad settings download need. The game does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files or precise location.
7. Children's privacy
FlingShot is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone other than the third-party services named above (Google AdMob and Google Firebase), which process data under their own policies.
9. Data retention and deletion
We keep no copy of your data on our own servers. The game has no user accounts, and the Firebase database holds only the game's ad settings, never information about players. Game data stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data. To limit what Google stores for advertising, use the controls in section 3.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't hold any personal data ourselves, most requests are best directed to Google. You can withdraw ad consent at any time in Settings > Privacy options. Contact us if you need help.
11. Security
Game data is stored in the app's private storage, which other apps can't read. Communication with the ad service and with Firebase uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) provided by Google.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and significant changes will be noted in the app's store listing.
