Runner Reels, made by Balliram ("we"), makes short cartoon videos on your phone. It is made for young children to enjoy with a parent. We built it to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, and the stories, voices, music and videos are all made on your phone.
What we collect
We (Balliram, the developer) do not collect, store or sell any personal information. There is no sign-up, no name, no email, no photos, no contacts and no location. We do not run any servers that receive data from the app.
What stays on your phone
Everything the app makes stays on your phone: AI stories, voices, music, 3D scenes and the videos you save (in Movies/CartoonMaker). Your settings and the list of story titles already used (so new stories do not repeat) are also kept only on the phone. Uninstalling the app removes all of this except the videos you saved, which you can delete from your gallery.
AI models (optional download)
If you tap Download on the AI models page, the app downloads the AI model file from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Like any website, Hugging Face can see your IP address while the file downloads. After that, the AI runs fully offline on your phone; nothing you make is sent anywhere.
Ads
The app shows ads from Google AdMob to keep it free. Because the app is made for children, every ad request is marked as child-directed and under the age of consent, ads are limited to content rated for general audiences (G), and ads are never personalised. The app does not use the Advertising ID (it is removed from the app). To show ads and prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical information such as the IP address and basic device and app information. Game engine
The 3D scenes use the Unity engine (Unity Technologies). Unity may send basic, anonymous technical information about the device (for example the phone model, graphics chip and Android version) to Unity. It does not include any personal information. See https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app shows one friendly reminder a day to make a new cartoon. It is scheduled on the phone itself; no notification data is sent to us. You can turn it off in the app's Settings or in Android settings.
Children
The app is designed for children under the supervision of a parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and the app complies with the Google Play Families policy. Ads use only Google Play Families self-certified ad technology with child-directed settings.
Permissions
Internet: to download the optional AI model and to load ads. Notifications: for the daily reminder (you can say no). No camera, microphone, contacts or location permissions are used.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and in the app, and change the date at the top.
