Math Machis Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 October 2026

Summary

This policy explains how the Math Machis app for Android ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. Math Machis is a matchstick puzzle game. It needs no account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. Your game progress stays on your device. The app uses Google services that process limited device data:

We do not sell your personal data. Details are below.

Data stored on your device

The app saves the following locally, using your device's app storage:

This data is not sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes it permanently.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Math Machis shows banner ads on menu screens, occasional full-screen ads between levels, and optional reward videos that give you extra hints. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To serve, personalise (where permitted) and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:

DataPurpose
Advertising ID and other device identifiersAd serving, frequency capping, measurement, and personalisation where you have allowed it
IP address (used for approximate location)Ad serving and fraud prevention
App interactions with ads, and diagnosticsMeasuring ad performance and keeping the SDK stable

Google processes this data under its own terms. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

The app can receive notifications such as new puzzles, reminders and news. On Android 13 and later it asks for your permission first. If you allow them, Firebase Cloud Messaging (provided by Google) creates the following for this install:

DataPurpose
FCM registration token and Firebase installation ID (random identifiers for this install, not linked to your name or account)Delivering notifications to your device
Device and app information (such as app version, operating system and language) and IP addressDelivering notifications and keeping the service reliable

The app subscribes to a general topic so that announcements reach all players. We do not use notifications for advertising from third parties. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Apps → Math Machis → Notifications). Turning them off does not affect the game.

App configuration (Cloud Firestore)

When the app starts, it downloads its ad settings (which ad units to use, and whether ads are on) from Google Cloud Firestore. This is a read-only request: the app sends no game data, progress or personal information. As with any internet request, Google's servers receive your IP address and basic technical details to answer it. If the download fails, the app uses settings built into the app.

Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the service providers named in this policy (Google AdMob, Google Firebase and Google Play), and only for the purposes described. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law.

Google's privacy terms: Google Privacy Policy, Privacy and Security in Firebase, AdMob and privacy.

Permissions the app uses

PermissionWhy
Internet and network stateLoading ads, notifications, app settings and update checks
Notifications (Android 13+)Showing push notifications; optional
Advertising IDUsed by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, as described above

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, files, or location.

Your choices about ads

App updates

On Android, the app uses Google Play's in-app update service to check whether a newer version is available and, if so, to offer the update. That check happens between your device and Google Play. We receive no personal data from it.

Children

Math Machis is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help get it removed.

Security and retention

All data the app sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We do not run our own servers, and we do not keep a copy of your game data.

Deleting your data

Because the app has no accounts, you can delete everything it stores by uninstalling it, or with Settings → Apps → Math Machis → Storage → Clear storage. To ask us to delete the notification identifiers linked to your install, email us at the address below; we will respond within 30 days. You can reset your Advertising ID in your device settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU/UK, or CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no account data, most requests are handled by clearing the app's storage, turning off notifications, your device's ad settings, or by Google for advertising data. You can also contact us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
